Horrible horrible horrible food. Even worse service

Good place but less staff

I love Desi Junction, have been coming here since quite a long time. Moreover, this place has food that actually tastes like authentic Indian/South Asian food. I've tried many different places (Gateway Pizza, Spice 72, Jaipur, Etc.) but this is the only one that has dishes that taste authentic while others tend to put a lot of sugar and sweetners in their dishes.

Order two dish only one dish arrived on table We had to remind that we order two dish. Very bad experience on first time on my wife's birthday . Won't be back.

I popped in here for a quick lunch, and was not disappointed. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala, and it had a very nice subtle taste, large chunks of chicken. The naan and rice were standard. Washrooms were a bit old. But overall it was a good meal. If they did lunch specials I would go back often, but it can be pricey when going alone and not sharing dishes.

Highly appreciate their consistency and quality of food good value for money service is slow could be improved we almost order 20 minutes before their closing the still took our order normally as compare to other INDIAN food places who refuse for tandoori dishes and make excuse if it’s a small order but this place serves you as a customer doesn’t matter what time of the day garlic naans are the winner for tonight with paneer Kadahi. thanks to chefs for the great dinner we all enjoyed it

This was my first time coming and would never come back. There was just one server serving everybody, we started with our starter and two drinks which came after an hour. Our server never asked for water to us and we were served cold food.Totally not worth the hype

Desi had amazing food! Who cares about the ambience & TV screens, the food was amazing, inexpensive & our server was great. Seriously the best Indian food I've had. The only negative thing I have to say is that the salt content was a bit high, but overall, delicious! Best dishes: Shahi Paneer, the coco gobi, and the yogurt mint chutney was so yum. Highly recommended.

We use to always visit this place the food was great and the atmosphere was lively. Don’t know what happened but all of a sudden the staff seem to have changed. We sat down and ordered some drinks. The waiter said you guys want doubles? We were like singles are fine. He kept on insisting we get doubles. We said no. So he got our drinks. We ordered a vegetarian platter and it was brought out very quick. It tasted great all of a sudden the waiter comes to our table and says this was for another table. We just looked at him. We didn’t place the plate on the table. He did. And it was the same appetizer we order. He was mad at us that we started to eat. We didn’t make a big deal about it we waited for our dish ate and left. This restaurant has huge potential they need to focus on what made it so popular in the beginning.

Service was good ..... but management is not very good

The food was pretty mediocre some dishes were pretty good like the classic Shai Paneer or chicken Tikka. Some dishes were decent, can’t say they were the best. The staff was pretty friendly and servers are nice as well. On the sanitary issue it is a total mess. Every plate we were served was not cleaned properly at all. There were some stains on every single plate we received. The server was kind enough to repeatedly attempt to find clean plates, but there were none to be found.

Worse most nastiest tasting Chicken Tikka YUCK!!! To add further totally burnt naans. Wont be back and will warn my friends.

When they opened it was okay, now it’s tereible. They’re announcing new management now but the fact is they we’re shut down due to health violations. I do not recommend there are many better options in walking distance

Went today, Food was okay to begin with, but after couple hours my stomach hurts so much. Its food poisoning. My husband is saying the same. Pleaae please change your food everyday. The food was old and god knows how long they will serve it for.

Very friendly servers. Serve food on time and the food is so delicious specially butter chicken and shahi paneer. I recommend to visit there love you guys

Service is poor as at very first they forgot to bring mango lassi to the table but they remembered to charge for lassi and I ordered garlic naan and got Naan with brushing of garlic paste which was too much. Won't go back.

went recently (used to go all the time), under new management so no lunch buffet anymore. as well must be a new chef as some recipes have changed. oh well there are lots of resturants in the hood

Really good food and great service as well. I ordered one Shahi Paneer and Garlic Breads. Service was really quick and I loved the food.Definitely be coming back when I am in Surrey.

I don't like how expensive everything is. I ordered butter chicken and had to pay for every additional thing, rice, naan... etc. Those should come with it. The prices look okay until you get charged for absolutely everything. Also the decor in the restaurant looks shabby and could use a repair. The booths leather is wearing out and much of the restaurant looks in bad care. Despite all this the food isn't bad

Private party room is amazing. We had a get together for 20 people and received amazing service by the new owners and staff. The new owners have done a great job with the place. The food was amazing everything was great especially the butter chicken and Mali chicken. My family still talked about how good the food was the next day. Congratulations to the new owners, keep up the good work!

The food was okay. The service was great, the waitress was really attentive. The place could use some renovations though, it looks pretty run down.

I visited Desi Junction last night with family. We had a really good time. We got acknowledged by the servers quite a bit, the food was really good, especially the butter chicken. Best butter chicken I've had.

Don't go here - the service is unprofessional. We are vegetarians and ordered a veg dish. The hostess brought the dish with meat. We respectfully returned it and asked her to bring the requested dish. Ten minutes later, we dived into our diner and noticed meat on our first bite. At this point, we just left and are unlikely to return.

Fun place for dancing, live music, food and drinks with friends and partner

Prices are reasonable and they have great deals for special occasions, even for Thanksgiving. Courteous and timely service as well .

This has to be a hidden gem in North Delta. Chicken tikka masala was savory and tender with the right amount of spice. I think they put a little tamarind in it which gave it some extra flavor. The lamb seekh kabob was also amazing with a good mix of spices and tender as well. Spices were not over powering so the taste of lamb could be appreciated. Dish number three was butter chicken which was so juicy and tender. The masala tasted like it was freshly made and was aromatic. Rice complimenting the butter chicken as I scooped them both with tandoori oven naan. Dish number five was the obligatory channa masala with naan, scrumptious! A little kheer at the end to bring the spicy flavors to a memory until next time. Ive been to a lot of Indian restaurants, this will definitely be on my list next time I come to Vancouver.

Good butter chicken

I used to go to Desi Junction before, but haven't gone in a while. We saw they had new owners and lunch specials decided to give it a try. My family and I just loved the food, we wouldn't try butter chicken anywhere else. They have the best butter chicken and garlic naan. Amazing food!! Very spacious restaurant, great for parties.

We like this place. I think the management changed not so long ago, and the service is better (though it wasn't bad in the first place). The new management serves free appetizer with simple Indian chips type of thing and a small dip for them, like Mexican restaurants do. The servers (multiple ones) always came back to check on us to see how we were doing. The old place had a very good cosmo, which I loved, and I ordered one with the new management, which gave me a drink that looked totally different...it was yellow instead of pink (that it used to be). It was a good drink nevertheless, though I'm not sure if it was a cosmo really...overall, good place to dine at.

Delicious Indian food and very reasonable pricing.

I phoned Desi and asked the guy on the phone how much dinner was and he said 12-14 dollars.... then I asked him how large the portions were and he said big and I then asked if it would fill me up cause I was really hungry and he said yes guaranteed... and I double checked that he guaranteed that I would get full for like 13 bucks.... he said yes he guaranteed me... I spent 33 bucks for me and my tiny partner (she eats like a bird) and still wasn't full... the food was fantastic but I was hungry afterwards... when I mentioned that the portions were pretty small the guys response was that I could order more... dissatisfied to say the least.

Only had the butter chicken but boy was it good

my mom went to desi junction with my little brother .. they were served chicken that did not taste proper... it was stale and tasted like it was gone bad but unfortunately my little brother had a peice by then (hes 5 can not tell) but as soon as my mom tried it she could tell that it was gone bad... she told the waiter but the waiter tried to argue and say that was the flavour of the chicken! the waiter ended up taking the chicken but also charged my mom for it. Terriable customer service and feeding people stale chicken.

Went for lunch. Advertised for 9.99 lunch buffet. When we went to pay 9.99 was takeout price, dine in is 11.99. Food was just okay. Server came around with water, the nann and again to ask if we wanted more nann.

Service very good and friendly food was ok pay extra for salad . Seat leather is wearing out looks very bad. Grey scuff marks on plates.
